Where to watch Boston Habrorfest Fireworks
It’s been 2 years since we’ve seen fireworks light up the sky over Boston Harbor due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With life now getting back to normal, this year Boston Harborfest fireworks return! They will be shot off from a barge in the area of Long Wharf on July 3rd at approximately 9:15pm.
While the fireworks can be seen from anywhere on the Boston waterfront (downtown, Eastie, Charlestown, and Seaport), my favorite places to watch (and photograph) the fireworks are listed below.
As you’ll see from the below images, my #1 location, the East Boston waterfront! This vantage point provides spectacular views of the Boston skyline. Some of my favorite locations on the Eastie waterfront are from LoPresti Park, anywhere along E Pier Drive, Piers Park, and from Logan Airport at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel. Pro tip, if you visit the Hyatt Harborside Hotel and park in their lot, you can get parking validated at the hotel bar. Relax on their outdoor patio overlooking the skyline before, during or after the fireworks with some drink and food!
Another nice location is from Fan Pier Park in Boston’s Seaport area. While you won’t have the skyline as a direct backdrop to the fireworks, it’s still a great location that’ll get you a nice view.
If you want a real closeup view, head over to Long Wharf or Christopher Columbus Park in the North End.
That’s it, those are my suggestions on where to watch fireworks light up the sky over Boston Harbor! If you take any pictures be sure to share them with us by tagging us on social media @617images.
